Working With The NHS

NHS Connecting for Health is delivering the National Programme for IT to bring modern computer systems into the NHS, which will improve patient care and services. The National Programme for IT will connect over 30,000 GPs in England to almost 300 hospitals and give patients access to their personal health and care information, transforming the way the NHS works.

The NHS vision is to have a more modern, efficient, patient-led health service and to give patients more choice and control over their own health and care. The aim of NPfIT is to deliver new, integrated IT systems and services to help modernise the NHS and ensure care is patient-centred. This requires delivery of the right information to the right person at the right time.
