TPP is a company that is proud of its local roots. Situated in the heart of West Yorkshire in the small town of Horsforth, TPP is fully aware of the positive impact a successful business can make within a community. As a result, we regularly make contributions to charitable and environmental causes and actively promote ethical and social responsibility.

We ensure our company is kept as paper-light as possible and all waste paper is recycled on a regular basis. TPP works to ensure the well-being of all staff members through short working hours, comfortable office environment, physiotherapy massage and social activities. Employees are also encouraged to take part in voluntary activities and sports events in the community. An organised blood donor session also means employees can donate blood inside working hours. In addition, TPP actively sponsors several different charities and supports local people in a variety of ways.

Recently, TPP has been supporting the following projects:

Born in Bradford is a groundbreaking research project that is following the lives of 13,000 babies in Bradford over 20 years. TPP’s SystmOne is being used to record and track important data across the project.

Martin House Children’s Hospice were TPP’s Christmas Charity. The hospice, based in Wetherby, looks after children with life limiting illnesses and provides support for families following a bereavement. The company managed to raise £1200 for the charity in December 2010.

Movember encourages men of all ages to grow a moustache in order to raise awareness of men’s health issues. The majority of funds from the UK arm of the project are sent to Prostate Cancer UK. In November 2010, over 30 TPP employees took part, raising over £800 for the cause.

Loud Leeds is a musical event organised by Leeds Music Centres. Taking place at the town hall, musicians of all ages and and abilities are invited along to take part in a mass rehearsal and concert, celebrating the musical facilities available in Leeds and the surrounding area.

Horsforth Harriers are a local running club who organise a 10k road race every year. TPP sponsors the race and also submits employees to take part. This year, the club nominated SpeakAbility as their chosen charity; TPP raised over £700 in sponsorship monies from their 8 runners.

Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust offers information and support to women experiencing cervical abnormalities that may lead to cancer. TPP has provided financial assistance to the charity,
allowing them to set up additional local support groups and train new volunteers.

In addition, for the past 2 years TPP has sent employees to a school project in Eritrea. Here staff have installed computers and brought school sports equipment. In 2011 the company hopes to fundraise enough money to assist in the building of a new library and water tower.

TPP also sponsors local sports players and teams and is currently sponsoring a football team at the North Yorkshire Girls Centre of Excellence and they also sponsor a youth team in Essex. For the past few years TPP has been committed to donating £2000 every quarter to a charity nominated by one of their software users. The scheme, “chatting for charity”, rewards those users who are most helpful in the SystmOne chatroom.
